A few weeks ago we told you that Warner Bros., after more than 10 years of coming and going, had finally given the green light to The Meg, a film adaptation of the literary saga inaugurated by Steven Alten in 1997. The film, a mix between Shark and Jurassic Park, will be starring Jason Statham and will show us the fratricidal confrontation between a former captain of the Navy and a prehistoric megalodon that threatens to destroy the Chinese shores. Now, thanks to Empire, we have been able to see the first image of the tape. In it we see the same Statham face to face with the giant creature, which shows a scar along the snout (what some have interpreted as a small tribute to Shark 2). The Meg starts when an expedition in submarine to the Mariana Trench is attacked by a giant creature that was believed extinct, leaving his crew trapped.
