Continues to find a new lease on life now that it's on The CW, and so far, season 2 has brought DC fans all kinds of fun new characters from the DC Universe, including a new TV Superman (Tyler Hoechlin, Metallo, Ms. Martian, James Olsen suiting up as Guardian, and a familiar DC Comics foe for Guardian to help Supergirl beat: The Parasite. The latest promo for Supergirl episode 2x06, 'Changing' spotlights the sci-fi/horror origin story for Parasite that we will get in the DC TV Universe - as well as giving us our first look at the villain's TV version. As you can see, this version of Parasite looks like a dog standing on hind legs with its skin torn off. It's not a terrible look (it looks like a monster created in a lab or with alien material), but it's definitely different from what DC fans are used to from the character. This version of parasite could easily be The Abomination from Incredible Hulk, Doomsday from Batman v Superman, or every other hulking monster with seen in superhero movies as of late. In terms of origin story, the show seems to be playing up the idea of Parasite being an actual alien parasite that infects a human host - which is a definite change from his comic book origins, which usually cite industrial or extraterrestrial waste as the source of Parasite's transformation.
