It came with software and I downloaded the wireless tool for windows on the manufacturer web page. After the drivers installed plug it in and bam it’s good to go.
Kali users: I was able to add it to the vm with ease. The guides online made setup on kali extremely easy and promiscuous mode was too easy and worked well. This is in a student environment and I do not condone other uses but if you wanted to this should work great. It also came with a usb extension maybe 6 feet or so. This could be used to place in a backpack or something while using pc in open as to not look to suspicious. I would recommend this product for daily use as well fast speeds and a good option for users on laptops stuck on 2.4. Should work great for desktop users as a wireless card.

A Thanks for quality service and communication added to saved stores! TP-LINK TL-WN722N I've had problems getting a good wireless signal on my desktop located in a detached garage about 40' from the house where the modem/router is located.
My laptop's wireless adapter worked better in the garage then my desktop. Both machines are Dell and about the same age using Windows 7.
I've moved the router in every possible location in the house trying to get a better signal out in the garage. Even purchased a new modem/router the other day hoping to gain signal strength and even tried a network extender but the signal strength remained fair or poor. My wireless adapter in my desktop is not replaceable without replacing the mother board.
So, I purchased this item. It came with everything as described and was easy and fast to set up. Instantly I had full signal strength and the desktop was working with great speed. I liked the fact it was easy to set up and it had a adjustable antenna. It works and I'm extremely satisfied with this product.

Works great with Reaver & Wifite Using this on a Raspberry Pi running Dietpi. I wanted to do some security testing using Reaver & Wifite not all dongles work with this software or with the Raspberrypi, this one does and quite well at that.
The replaceable antenna is nice as you can add a higher gain antenna for more range. The included antenna gives plenty of signal for around your home as it is but sometimes you might like a little more range. A real bargain that is always at the top of the list when wifi dongles are tested.
